Holocaust Memorial Day 2016

International Holocaust Memorial Day is held every year to the liberation of Auschwitz Concentration Camp by Russian troops. Since that time the world has had to come to terms with the genocide and horrific crimes against humanity perpetrated there, at Birkenau death camp and at the various other camps built by the Nazis across Europe.

There will be a public meeting at 7.00 p.m. on 27th January in the Appleton Tower.  Speakers include Pinar Aksu (Campaigner for Refugee Rights and Community Activist) and Aamer Anwar (Human Rights Lawyer).
